2013 "Simulating Reality" Contest

Big Tyre was one of three Golden Anniversary Winners of MSC Software's "Simulating Reality" contest along with NASA JPL & Jaguar Landrover.

In celebration of their 50th anniversary of MSC software held a "Simulating Reality" contest where individuals were invited to submit a video or image demonstrating how they used MSC's simulation technology to develop innovative products or ideas for the future.

Big Tyre was one of three Golden Anniversary Winners selected by a panel of judges for its work on developing and simulating a non-pneumatic, non-solid wheel. The other winners of this award were NASA JPL. (USA) and Jaguar Landrover (UK).

2012 Business Excellence Awards

Big Tyre won the Manufacturing & Industry and Innovation categories in the 2012 Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

These awards are held annually and include members of all sizes of Toowoomba's business community. Awards are presented across 8 categories including Best Regional Business, Best New Business and the Heritage Bank Business of the Year.

What's Your Big Idea Queensland? logo

In 2011, the Queensland Government ran a competition to support innovative companies within the manufacturing industry called "What's Your Big Idea Queensland?". The program provided successful businesses with a grant to assist in further developing their ideas. There were two rounds in this program contested by a total of over 900 companies.

Big Tyre won the second round of awards for its work in developing non-pneumatic, non-solid wheels.
