Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you replace the drive lugs on positive drive tracks?
The shape and spacing of drive lugs is critical on positive drive tracks and this can't be achieved reliably without remoulding the track (an expensive process). If you have lost drive blocks on your positive drive tracks, Big Tyre can still help! With the strongest drive lugs on the market, Trackman tracks will ensure you don't run into the same problem on your next set of tracks!
Do you recondition undercarriage wheels?
In addition to tracks, we also rebuild undercarriage wheels, including mid-rollers, drive wheels, and idler wheels, at a very economical price compared to buying new OEM wheels. See our undercarriage wheels page for more details.
Can you rebuild non-agricultural tracks, such as excavator tracks, when they wear out?
Due to the costs involved, it is typically not economical to recondition smaller tracks such as excavator or CTL tracks. However, we can retread rubber tracks for excavators or skid steers to suit particular applications, such as reducing damage to turf.
My track's main cables are broken and exposed, can it be reconditioned?
We assess all tracks for reconditioning on a case-by-case basis, so it's best to contact us and provide photos before sending your track in for reconditioning. We can often still recondition tracks which have one or two broken cables.
